CRISIS POLICY:

If you are experiencing a crisis such as thoughts of harming yourself or harming others, please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255, call 911 (or your local emergency services), or report to the nearest hospital with emergency services.

For Veterans, please contact the Veterans Crisis Line at 1-800-273-8255 - Option 1, call 911 (or your local emergency services), or report to the nearest hospital with emergency services.

Mind Above is classified as outpatient mental health which is a lower level of care than active crisis requires. The services of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and Veterans Crisis Line are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year at no costs. Once crisis addressed, please notify Mind Above as soon as possible to arrange for appropriate follow-up care.

RESERVATION POLICIES:

Clinical services are booked through the secure client portal: https://mindabove.clientsecure.me/ or by contacting Mind Above directly at (469) 496-5695. All client services require booking in advance to ensure availability and reduce unnecessary wait times. The secure client portal enables you to send and receive secure messages to ensure privacy and health information security If urgent need occurs, contact Mind Above through the secure client portal or by phone to discuss concerns and schedule follow up accordingly. The secure client portal provides direct access to view availability of Mind Above which allows for you to directly schedule your appointment. This is the quickest method for booking clinical appointments but contacting by phone acceptable as well to schedule therapy.

Presentations & Learning Engagements are booked on the Mind Above website or associated scheduling services such as Eventbrite.com or other sites. Reservations will be made in advance with payment due at time of registration and scheduling. Please contact Mind Above for assistance or questions regarding reservations.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

24 hours advance notice required for cancellation to not be billed full price for scheduled individual appointment. If unable to attend, you are welcome to reschedule ONLINE or by contacting Mind Above by phone at (469) 496-5695 more than 24 hours in advance to cancel a scheduled appointment with no charges. This policy is necessary to provide sufficient time to notify other clients of opening in schedule and allow Mind Above opportunity to recoup lost time. Please contact Mind Above for assistance or questions regarding cancellation of individual therapy appointments.

GROUP THERAPY

24 hours advance notice required for cancellation to not be billed full price for scheduled group appointment. PRESENTATIONS & LEARNING ENGAGEMENTS

For individuals attending presentations and learning engagements: 7 days advance notice required to receive refund for individual attendance. If unable to attend, you are welcome to have someone attend in your place. If this is needed, please contact Mind Above to update contact information of new attendee. No refunds will be provided if cancelled less than 7 days in advance for individuals.

For groups attending presentations and learning engagements: 14 days advance notice required to receive refund for scheduled group presentations. Cancellation after this point will result in no refund due to time allotted and materials prepared. Alternate attendees are welcome to attend in place of others unable to attend. If this is needed, please contact Mind Above in advance to update contact information of new attendee. No refunds will be provided if cancelled less than 14 days in advance for groups.

CHECK-IN:

For clinical services, please arrive on time for scheduled appointments. Due to scheduling constraints and out of respect to other clients, late arrivals will be provided the remaining amount of time left for scheduled appointment. No refunds provided for late arrivals.

For presentations & learning engagements, late arrivals may not be admitted to attend. Due to content being discussed that requires participation as part of attendance as well as out of respect for other attendees, please arrive on time. No refunds provided for late arrivals.

FACILITIES:

Mind Above’s primary location is inside Common Desk - Factory Six03. Upon arrival at the physical location, you will enter Common Desk - Factory Six03 and sign in at the tablet at the host desk in the lobby area. Coffee and water are provided for you to enjoy. Like any business you frequent, you may recognize someone in the facility. Please remember to respect privacy of others and know that Mind Above takes your privacy seriously but is unable to guarantee that you may come across others that you know while on premises or if attending event off premises. Please be respectful of others conducting business and enjoy the welcoming staff of Common Desk! All areas of Mind Above’s primary location are ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant with ramps, lifts, access doors, and handicap accessible restrooms. The use of ADA registered service animals is allowed on premises by the property owner/manager but not emotional support animals.

MEDICAL CONCERNS:

If you have medical concerns, please make Mind Above aware of them to plan for your appointment accordingly. If attending a retreat, medical clearance and liability releases will be required as part of registration.

Mind Above has implemented reCAPTCHA v3 on the site and use of reCAPTCHA v3 is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. reCAPTCHA may only be used to fight spam and abuse on the site. reCAPTCHA must not be used for any other purposes such as determining credit worthiness, employment eligibility, financial status, or insurability of a user.
